Introduction

This article will help you if you are not able to print receipts on your fiscal printer connected to the POSweb, or if the printer is not working. Here is the list of receipt printer types you can use with POSweb.

Choose the one you operate on and follow the instructions:

  • CHD3050Printer or other ChdPrinter <- see the first instruction below
  • DatecsFP550Printer <- see the first instruction below
  • Windows Printer <- see the first instruction below
  • Tring Printer <- see the first instruction below
  • CUSTOM Printer <- see the second instruction below
  • POSNET Thermal <- see the translation of this article into Polish or go to this article

Instruction

In case of any problems with: CHD3050Printer or ChdPrinter, DatecsFP550Printer, Windows Printer, Tring Printer, follow the instruction below:

  • Start from resetting DeviceIntegrator. If it does not help, follow with the instruction below.
  • Check if a printer is connected to PC with USB cable.
  • Check if a serial port for a printer is visible at the "Devices manager" view.
  • Check if a printer is connected directly, not by some sort of USB hub.
  • Check if serial port sleep mode is disabled in Windows.
  • Google for serial / USB ports issues, eg.:
  • If a COM port is visible and still there is no way to communicate with a printer, check what kind of printer you have and download the drivers for your printer from the web page. Then, uninstall existing COM port and try to reconnect a printer. There is an issue in Windows with maintaining serial ports and sometimes they can hang up and stop working.
  • Reset DI as the last stage of the process.
  • If none of the above actions resolved your problem, contact Perfect Gym Support Team.

Instruction for CUSTOM Printer

  • Check if a printer is connected to a LAN and all the cables are connected.
  • Check if a printer has a static IP address assigned.
  • Check if a printer has ETH communication enabled.
  • Check if a printer has CUSTOM DLL protocol active.
  • Check a network connection with a printer with ping and telnet commands.
  • Configure a printer in POS with a valid IP address and port.
  • Check if a connection with a printer can be made with the CUSTOM test tool.zip.
  • If a connection can't be made, check the DI log file. If it contains the following error codes 47 or 65543, verify if there is no other software that connects to this printer and blocks connection (could be their old POS software). In case of some other error codes, check them in CeFDll_User_ENG_1.09.pdf.
  • If many workstations try to connect to a single printer and connection can't be made, consider their reconfiguration via Receipt's print server - done by the Perfect Gym Support Team.
  • After the connection has been made, try to print cash state and try to perform sale.
