How to configure POSNET Thermal printer?
By default, POSNET printers have the POSNET protocol active. However, Thermal is an older protocol and must be manually activated by your IT service technician.
All fiscal printers used in Poland operate using this option.
1. Open the "Configuration" tab in POSweb and set up parameters:
- POSNET use fixed port - the option should be selected
- POSNET port - the used COM port number of the printer to communicate with the POS
- Is Innova - select if the printer model is Innova
- Is Elzab - select if the printer model is Elzab
- innovaDecreaseCashState - no information about the parameter
- Is Novitus - select if the printer model is Novitus
- Is Emar - select if the printer model is Emar
- POSNET check if fiscalized - option to check the printer before printing the receipt for fiscalization.
Important: if there is no such, it will fail. It does not work properly on some printer models and a correctly fiscalized printer is read incorrectly. You should deselect this option.
2. Go to Windows -> Computer. Double right-click and select the "Properties" tab.
3. Go to the Device manager.
4. Go to COM ports settings. Check, under which COM port the printer is (here: 20) and make sure the same number is selected in POSweb (as in the settings in step 1).
