Introduction
In this article, you will find information about how the Products work in the PGM system.
- This article will show you different types of the Products.
- This article will be helpful to PG Champion, Club Manager, System Administrator, Sales Team, and Club Owner.
Feature Description
In Perfect Gym, you have several options available when you create a new Product. You can choose different Product Types and Categories that fit best to your business. You can define in which club a given Product will be available, by use of which module - Client Portal, POSweb, or Perfect Gym GO Mobile App - the Product will be available for purchase, or which group of club members or guests the Product will be dedicated to.
Below, you can find definitions of different kinds of product types you can create via PGM.
Goods
Physical products are called Goods. They include drinks, shakes, food items, etc. To sell physical products you need to previously add them to the Warehouse. Using Warehouses, you can control stock levels, generate documents, and make an inventory. Only Goods added to the warehouse can be sold on POSweb. After the creation of the products, you have to add them to the POSweb panel. Go to this article to get more information about this configuration.
Services
Non-physical products are called Services. They are used for creating Services. These types of products don't have to be added to the Warehouse. Services include Personal training sessions, additionally paid classes, gym entrances, or zone access. This product type offers a store state for the user option. Thanks to it your members and employees can monitor how many products a member has bought, how many of them were used, and how many are still left.
Bundles
Product type Bundles are a combination of already-created products. In Bundles, you can e.g. sell 10 personal training sessions or special event packages with a single transaction and a more favorable price. They can also be a mix of Goods and Services e.g. whenever someone buys a bundle containing 3 personal training also gets a free protein shake.
Clone existing product
The product can be created based on any type of product - Goods, Services, Bundle, and it needs to keep this type. If you select this option, the system will create a draft copy of an existing product, which will be possible to edit and save as a new product.
After selecting the product you want to use in your company, choose the article and follow the configuration:

Hints
After you finish the configuration of Products in PGM, you can make them visible on POSweb application. This way, club Reception staff does not need to scan or enter the Product bar code. Check this article to see how it works.
