Introduction

From this article you will learn how to set and use Goals in the PerfectGym GO mobile app. Goals are individual daily or weekly targets that can be individually set by club members to monitor their physical activity.

For example, a member can set a goal to visit a club 3 times in a week. Read this article to learn more about Goals features. 

    Before you start

    As a club you don't need to configure anything to make the Goals available for your club members. The PerfectGym Team can just enable the Goals for your company or club. If this feature is not available for you, please contact the PerfectGym Support Team.

    Important: As a club you won't see any goal progression in the PGM. In the future you might see a collective overview of the progression, but not individual results.

    Instruction

    • Goals can be set weekly or daily.
    • Goals are recurring i.e. a daily goal will be created automatically for the next day.
    • Goals types include: number of club visits, Running, Cycling, Swimming distance, number of calories burnt, number of steps.
    • Some goals will be tracked by the PerfectGym software i.e. club visits, while others will be tracked by the third party apps such as: Strava, Fitbit, Garmin, Polar.
    • User can set just one goal at time i.e. it can be either a number of club visits per week or a number of daily calories burnt. 

    How to set Goals?

    1. Open the Mobile app. 

    2. Create a goal from the Dashboard by tapping "Set new goal"

    3. Select your category and specify target.

    4. Set the goal and start your workout!

    • You can terminate the goal anytime you want.
    • The results will be displayed until you create another goal.

    How to set Goals for calories or steps?

    For this type of Goal you need to have connected at least one tracking service like Polar, Garmin or Fitbit (Strava doesn't track Daily activites which is important for that module). More info about app integration here

    If you have connected one of mentioned above app:

    1. Tap on Goals from dashboard or go to Profile section and then to My Goals.

    2. Tap Set New Goal.

    3. From lists of goals choose Calories burned or Steps.

    4. Set your Target, pick Tracking App and set Goal name.

    5. Then tap Create Goal.

    Goal is set. It will be active for one week. Progress to Goal will be making from your Daily activites from selected Tracking Service. 

    Important: Goal start tracking your activity from next day. So make sure you set a goal one day before you will start progressing.
